Space, an asteroid field

After contacting Coruscant, OBI-WAN gets in his ship and takes off into the sky in pursuit of JANGO FETT in Slave 1. Not long after, JANGO realizes that OBI-WAN is on his tail so he takes his ship into an asteroid field in an attempt to lose him. OBI-WAN follows. There is a hot chase through the asteroids, where OBI-WAN gets caught up in trouble amongst the huge rocky boulders. (aldera.net)

Near Geonosis

Believing that OBI-WAN was killed in the asteroid field, JANGO and Boba proceed to their destination - Geonosis. OBI-WAN, of course, is not dead. When he finally makes it out of the asteroid field he picks up JANGO with the tracking device and continues to follow him. Geonosis is surrounded by a massive asteroid field and has rings made up of asteroids. (The Force.net)

Geonosis, mountain

As OBI-WAN walks along a mountainside prescipice, a sheer cliff on one side of him, a plunging drop on the other, he is attacked by several wild creatures called Massifs, dog-sized lizard creatures. Igniting his lightsabre, he cuts one to death, and the others flee. Clearly, Geonosis' natural defences are no match for a Jedi. (tf.n, speculation)

Geonosis, Tower

It is dawn, and the sun is breaking over the horizon. There is a great rumble, and from his high vantage point, OBI-WAN sees great hangar bay doors open in the barren landscape below him. Huge spheres slowly ascend from these underground bays, the sun glinting yellow off the craft. They are carrying many battledroids to all parts of the Confederacy scattered throughout the Galaxy. Geonosis, Tower Entrance

Geonosis, Factory Tower

OBI-WAN spies on a group of Worker Geonosians, building new super battle droids. OBI-WAN realizes they are building a secret droid army. He then sees COUNT DOOKU enter the factory area, discussing the situation with a dark cloaked figure represented by a hologram. (Speculation)

Obi-Wan arrives at a central area inside the tower with pillars, arches and high ceilings. It's very quiet and as Obi-Wan starts to move along, he hears voices so he hides behind a pillar as Poggle The Lesser, his aide, Sun Rit, Count Dooku, Nute Gunray, Passel Argente and Wat Tambor come strolling by deep in conversation.

Poggle is telling Nute Gunray that his facility on Geonosis is running at maximum capacity and in less than a few months, Nute will have the finest army in the galaxy. He's referring to the new Super Battle Droids. Nute is skeptical and replies that his early tests on the prototypes have gone well but they are a little less precise than he expected. Poggle assures him that their "advanced" features will make up for any other shortcomings.

COUNT DOOKU
Now, we must persuade the Commerce Guild and the Corporate Alliance to sign the treaty, then nothing in the universe will be able to stop us.

NUTE, however, is not quite ready to sign anything until his personal vendetta with Amidala has been settled.
What about the Senator from Naboo ? Is she dead yet ? I'm not signing your treaty until I have her head on my desk !

DOOKU
She will be soon, Viceroy. I am a man of my word, and I have faith in this bounty hunter's ablilities.

They move off and Obi-Wan makes his way out of his hiding spot to see the group move away through an archway and down a flight of stairs. He makes his way towards the stairs when it's safe and arrives at a narrow archway looking down through it where a clandestine meeting is taking place ... Count Dooku begins the meeting saying that now is the moment when everyone in the room has to decide between the Republic or the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He continues on, telling the group that a hundred more systems will join the cause with their support. reminding them of their absolute commitment to capitalism, to lower taxes, to reduce tariffs and the eventual abolition of all trade barriers. He promises that signing the proposed treaty will bring them all profits beyond their wildest imagination. (Greed IS a powerful ally, after all.)

He lets everyone know that the Trade Federation has given their full support and when their droid army is combined with the newly produced droid armies on Geonosis, they will have the greatest army in the galaxy. The Jedi will be overwhelmed. The Republic will agree to any demands they make. At that point, Passel Argentse stands and exclaims that he's authorized by the Corporate Alliance to sign the treaty. Dooku tells him he's most grateful.

Then Shu Mai rises with an uncommital reply. She says that the Commerce Guilds at this time do not wish to become "openly involved" but will support the cause in secret, looking forward to doing future business with Dooku and his group. Everyone gets a chuckle out of that and Dooku smiles a reply of, "That is all we ask."

San Hill then gets up from his seat and tells Dooku that the Intergalactic Banking Clan supports the movement fully but only in a non-exclusive arrangement.

The meeting is going quite well, it seems and Obi-Wan, still watching from a distance, has seen enough and backs up from the archway. From there, he heads for a more secure area to contact R2-D2, asking him to transmit his message to the Republic via Anakin. (T'Bone)

Inside CHANCELLOR PALPATINE'S office on Coruscant a hologram of OBI-WAN flickers in front of a group, made up of YODA, MACE WINDU, KI-ADI-MUNDI and Senators BAIL ORGANA, ASK AAK, DARSANA, and JAR-JAR. PALPATINE and MAS AMEDDA are in the middle of the group, watching with growing concern.

OBI-WAN reveals to the assembled group that starships from the Trade Federation and the Commerce Guilds are taking delivery of battle droids from the foundries of the planet.

BAIL ORGANA
That's outrageous ! The treaty forbids the Trade Federation from building up an army. What are they doing ?!

OBI-WAN
The droid foundry seems to be working at full capacity. I'm going down to investigate. I will bring Jango Fett back home for interrogation.

Chancellor PALPATINE
Those Geonosian foundries are part of the Techno Union. We will call in their representatives and ask them a few very pointed questions.

OBI-WAN
One more thing : Jango mentioned he was recruited by someone named 'Darth Tyranus'. Do you have any idea who that may be ?

YODA
With the forename 'Darth', a Sith he must be.

Events are starting to link up within the Jedi’s heads.
MACE WINDU
Our missing apprentice. They are playing their hand at last ...

OBI-WAN Do you believe he could be the mysterious Jedi Sido-Dyas, who made the deal for the clone army ?

YODA
Perhaps too many pieces are missing from this puzzle, there are ....

MACE
Obi-Wan, be careful. The investigation is becoming less than routine. Do you need help ?

OBI-WAN grins.
Let me see if I can figure out what's going on first .....

Geonosis

OBI-WAN relays another message through his droid, to R2 and ANAKIN, whom he believes is on Naboo. OBI-WAN quickly explains that he has discovered what he believes to be DOOKU's droid army and headquarters, he's in great danger and in need of help. He explains that he must inform the Council of his findings before its too late. Then he must come and help him on Geonosis.

Then in the mid-message it suddenly cuts out. It is now ANAKIN's duty to make sure the Jedi Council recieve this vital information... ( Jedi Temple , Speculation)

Obi-Wan attempts to contact his droid after finding a window...."Arfour, Arfour, Where are you?"

The Jedi then takes his electrobinoculars out and watches as the droid is being chased by the Rogas.

Obi-Wan then proceeds to climb higher in the structure, eventually reaching it's pinnacle. When the Jedi reaches the top of the main tower he pulls a cord from his belt and attaches it to a small chrome sphere. He doesn't notice a shadow come over him as he begins transmitting.

OBI-WAN
Artoo Detoo ... Artoo Detoo. Do you copy? This is Obi-Wan Kenobi, switch to low band.
He listens and R2-D2 eventually repsonds.
Record this message and take it to your mistress, Padmé ... and the Jedi Skywalker ...
... Anakin, my long range transmitter is knocked out, retransmit this message to Coruscant...

More shadows fall over OBI-WAN as he continues his dialogue.
... the Trade Federation is behind the assassination attempts on Senator Amidala.

The shadows are coming closer to the unaware Jedi.
.... The Commerce Guids and the Corporate Alliance have pledged their armies to Count Dooku and are forming an.... Wait !!

OBI-WAN ignites his sabre, as another shadow passes over his head, he looks up quickly.

After the hologram of OBI-WAN has faded, a sombre atmosphere prevails.

BAIL ORGANA is the first to raise his voice.
The Commerce Guilds are preparing for war ... there can be no doubt of that.

PALPATINE
Count Dooku must have made a treaty with them.

MACE WINDU
We must stop them soon before they're fully ready.

Senator ASK AAK
The debate is over, we need that clone army now !

BAIL
No, unfortunately the debate is not over. The Senate will never be able to approve the use of that army before the separatists attack.

MAS AMEDDA
This is a crisis ! I propose that if the Senate votes the Chancellor emergency powers, he could approve the use of the army in a minute.

PALPATINE quickly intervenes.
Please, please, I don't wish to have emergency powers. It would be too extreme a solution. It's akin to a dictatorship ! We must rely on the Jedi. Master Yoda, how many are available to go to Geonosis ?

Mace Windu and Yoda look at one another. YODA calculates the number of Jedi at their immediate disposal.
Two Hundred ..... less or more.

BAIL is stunned.
With all due respect, two hundred will be no match for hundreds of thousands of battle droids !!

MACE WINDU
Patience. I suggest we wait for Obi-Wan to report back. We don't know that Count Dooku has made a treaty with the Corporate Alliance, it's speculation.

Senator ASK AAK
We must prepare for the worst. I'm going to propose a motion granting emergency powers to the Chancellor at the next session. We must not wait !

PALPATINE
That's out of the question, Senator ! You and I are too closely aligned. The issue will become partisan and debates will begin. The proposal must come from a neutral source ....

MAS AMEDDA muses.
If only Senator Amidala were here.

Suddenly JAR-JAR steps forward from the back of the group.
Supreme Chancellor ... my august colleagues, I would be proud to propose the motion in question. This is a grave situation, and I'm sure both Senator Amidala and the Queen of Naboo would agree.

DARTH SIDIOUS contacts DARTH TYRANNUS. He tells him OBI-WAN has discovered the planet and that a Jedi army is on it's way.

OBI-WAN is suddenly surrounded by battledroids and flying Geonosians, led by COUNT DOOKU.
DOOKU
Why are you here ?

OBI-WAN
I am searching for Jango Fett.

DOOKU
He is not here.

OBI-WAN
I assure you he is.

DOOKU reveals that he was Qui Gon's Master. (aicn)

Tatooine, Landing Site

Upon arrival to Tatooine, ANAKIN, PADMÉ, and R2D2 make their way to Mos Espa.

Suddenly, R2 beeps urgently, and begins to relay Obi-Wan's message sent via his R4 droid. (tf.n, ep-x, speculation)

OBI-WAN
I have followed the bounty hunter Jango Fett to the droid foundries on Geonosis, the Trade Federation is behind the assasination attempt on Senator Amidala and are forming ... (episode-X.com)

But the message is cut as a rickshaw droid rolls through the hologram. (tf.n, ep-x) Since OBI-WAN didn't sound to be in any immediate danger, ANAKIN and PADMÉ decide to make use of the rickshaw droid, RIC-920, and continue on to Mos Espa (speculation).

Tatooine, Mos Espa Slave Quarters

They reach the Mos Espa Slave Quarters, but can find trace of ANAKIN'S mother. ANAKIN quickly decides to seek out their old owner, WATTO. (speculation)

The Jedi is immediately concerned. ANAKIN, PADMÉ, and R2 quickly return to their Nubian starship, and hurry towards the city Watto described. (episode-x)

Geonosis, Count Dooku's base, holding cell

After Obi-Wan’s capture by Droids he is brought into a dungeon, where he is held captive, suspended in midair inside a blue force field. Count Dooku arrives. (Mystery trailer)

This is a terrible mistake. They've gone too far. This is madness.

OBI-WAN
I thought you were their leader ...?

DOOKU
This has nothing to do with me. I promise to petition immediately to have you set free.

OBI-WAN
I hope it doesn’t take too long, as I have work to do.

DOOKU smiles.
It’s a great pity our paths have never crossed before. Qui-Gon always spoke very highly of you. I wish he were still alive. I could use his help right now.

OBI-WAN
Qui-Gon would have never joined you !

DOOKU
Don't be so sure, my young Jedi. He was once my apprentice, just as you were once his. Qui-Gon knew all about the corruption in the Senate. He would never have gone along with it if he had known the truth as I have.

OBI-WAN
... The truth ...?

DOOKU
What if I told you that the Republic was now under the control of the Dark Lords of the Sith ?

OBI-WAN
No. That's not possible. The Jedi would be aware of it.

DOOKU
The Dark Side of the Force has clouded their vision. Hundreds of Senators are now under the influence of a Sith Lord called Darth Sidious. The Viceroy of the Trade Federation was once in league with this Darth Sidious, but he was betrayed. He came to me for help. The Jedi Council would not believe him. I've tried many times to warn them, but they wouldn't listen to me.

I will never join you, Dooku.

Dooku realises now that there is no chance persuading Obi-Wan and leaves him to his doom, saying that it may be difficult to secure his release. (episode-x)

Tatooine, the LARS Farm

The Nubian Starship skims over the Tatooine desert. It hovers and lands on a bluff overlooking the Lars Homestead. ANAKIN and PADMÉ walk down a trail towards the moisture farm, leaving ARTOO to guard the ship.

A naked SEE-THREEPIO is outside working when the two arrive. He sees the two figures approaching and greets them.

SEE-THREEPIO
Good evening. May I help you ?

ANAKIN
I've come to see my mother.

THREEPIO
Oh ! Master Anakin ! I'm so terribly sorry. Perhaps you'd better go inside .....

They walk inside the homestead and are met by OWEN LARS and BERU WHITESUN. ANAKIN can see that his mother is not there and gets very concerned. Shortly after, CLIEGG LARS arrives on a floating chair - he is missing a leg and the other is heavily bandaged. He introduces himeself and explains that SHMI SKYWALKER is his wife. He asks ANAKIN to come, they have a lot to talk about. (episode-x)

They discuss SHMI'S disappearance after tending the vaporators, and the attack of the Tusken Raiders. CLIEGG tells him that early that morning, she went out to gather a certain crop which grows only on moisture vaporators (prequel-spoilers.com).

CLIEGG
It was just before dawn, they came out of nowhere ... (Mystery trailer)

She did not return at the time she usually does so CLIEGG formed a search party and went out to find her. In the process, he failed and was badly injured by tusken raiders - he is now confined to a floating chair-frame. Most of the search party was killed. CLIEGG explains that those Tuskens walk like men, but are vicious, mindless monsters. (aldera, episode-x)

ANAKIN gets up and heads outside. OWEN and PADMÉ follow, and OWEN indicates his swoop bike.

OWEN
Take my speederbike, Anakin.

ANAKIN
Owen, I trust you will watch over Padmé ?

OWEN nods, and ANAKIN jumps on the speederbike and fires the engine. He looks back at PADMÉ before racing into the Tatooine desert, the twin suns slowly melting into the horizon ... (episode-x)

Tatooine, Desert, Hills

After getting directions from a Jawa along the way, ANAKIN heads into a hilly, rocky region of the desert. He finds CLIEGG LARS' tattered posse completely torn to shreds. Eeopie's are lingering in the area as well. (tf.n)

Tatooine, the LARS Farm, the Garage

While ANAKIN is away, PADMÉ completes C-3PO by applying his plating in the LARS' Garage on Tatooine.

PADMÉ
There !

PADMÉ stands back. OWEN is with her. They both look at Threepio. PADMÉ has had to use whatever she could find in the garage. He is multi-colored and several different textures, but he is complete.

C-3PO
Um, how do I look ?

OWEN
Great ! You look perfect !

C-3PO
Perfect ? Oh, Miss Padmé, I'm so happy! (The Force.net)

Tatooine, Jundland Wastes

After a day of riding OWEN'S speederbike on Tatooine, ANAKIN spent hours repairing its delicate transmission. (sw.com)

When ANAKIN finds his mom, she is being carried by Tuskens. She is obviously badly wounded already. As ANAKIN approaches, a Tusken suddenly turns around and slugs Shmi in the stomach with his gaffi stick. ANAKIN sees this and screams as he approaches. The Tuskens get spooked, they drop Shmi and take off. ANAKIN runs to his mother and holds her in his lap. They exchange a few words and she dies in his arms. (aldera.net)

ANAKIN is devastated. He blames himself for her death. He sits next to her in silence for a long time and he gives her some kind of small funeral; he digs a hole in the sand and puts Shmi in it. He then covers the tomb in rocks. ANAKIN sits on a top of a rocky hill all night near the place where his mother was slain. He is in a meditative state, trying to calm his flurried emotions. As the twin suns of Tatooine rise over the horizon, ANAKIN hears a few Tusken mothers playing with their children, and quielty moves up onto a bluff to look down on them : they are near a cluster of Tusken huts (tf.n - Ealing sets).

The children's outfits are green, and there is a slit in the bottom of their canopy headpiece at the neckline for viewing. Their hands are gloved and they have a small tan pouch on their waist as well. Their clothes are layered to protect them from the harsh Tatooine sun and also to protect their identity. The women's headpieces are made from an elaborate broze-like armor, and the shawls over their shoulders, head and back is almost a light tan/yellow color. They also have gloves and bracelets on the arms, and a small leather bag at the front as well. The Tuskens have been known to decorate those pouches with bones and artifacts as well. The women almost wear a tan skirt, though there are definitely layers underneath as well for their harsh living conditions. A Tusken female's eyes cannot be seen through the armor covering her head, but she can see you. (tf.n)

The Tusken 'village' is a desert tent encampment around an oasis waterhole in the shade of a rocky bluff. There are about a dozen weird bulbous "meringue-dollop" shaped canvas tents with curved skyward pointing protective spikes pointing from them. The tents are scattered around the bare waterhole, and Banthas drink nearby. There are about 30 to 50 Tuskens.

[ Theforce.net now have another report that says ANAKIN infiltrates the Tusken camp and finally finds the tent holding Shmi, who is tied to a wooden beam and has been savagely beaten. It is at this point that she dies. ]

He watches them for a bit, then stands up. Staring at them with a blank expression on his face, he reaches for his saber, ignites it, and walks towards them .... Anakin raises his hand and two tuskens fall gasping to the ground clutching their throats as they are Force-choked to death (Jedinet). Then the scene fades out. (aldera.net & starwars-union.de)

Tatooine, LARS Homestead

When ANAKIN returns to the LARS farm, he tells CLIEGG and OWEN that he found his mother and she was dead. CLIEGG (who's still very injured) and ANAKIN have an argument :

If I hadn't gone away, none of this would have happened. We'd be happy.

CLIEGG LARS
But you'd still be slaves.

ANAKIN
But at least she'd still be alive and we'd be happy.

As the conversation proceeds, they're raising their voices at each other. ANAKIN is obviously extremely jealous of his mother's love for the LARS family. (aldera.net)

Tatooine, LARS Homestead, Garage

The argument stops when PADMÉ puts a soft hand on ANAKIN's shoulder. She takes him into the next room and shows him C-3PO, who now has covers.

PADMÉ
Isn't he great ?

ANAKIN

The young Jedi then confides to PADMÉ what happened at the Tusken encampment. (speculation)

ANAKIN
Not just the men...the women and children too. They're like Animals, and I slaughtered them like Animals... I HATE them ! (ep-X.com)

He vents his fear and frustration in the only direction he can.

ANAKIN
It's all Obi-Wan's fault ! He's holding me back !

ANAKIN hurls a piece of junk against the far wall.

PADMÉ
You're not all-powerful, Ani.

ANAKIN (sniffling)
Well, I should be ! Someday I will be the most powerful Jedi ever. (Forbidden Love trailer, Speculation)

Tatooine, LARS Homestead, Nubian starship

Tatooine, LARS Homestead, Shmi Skywalker's funeral

A sombre air hangs over the Lars homestead on Tatooine as SHMI SKYWALKER is laid to rest. Standing around her grave are CLIEGG, OWEN, BERU, C-3PO, PADMÉ and ANAKIN. CLIEGG says his final farewell to his wife, thanking her and saying that wherever she has gone is now a better place. There is a pause, and then ANAKIN steps forward. He regrets that he wasn't strong enough to save her, and that he misses her. And that he won't fail her again. Silence falls on the group.

Suddenly, it's interrupted by a flurry of beeps and whistles as ARTOO joins the group. PADMÉ looks puzzled, and asks why he's left the ship. ARTOO replies in another flurry of whistles. THREEPIO deciphers that he's carrying a message from an OBI-WAN KENOBI, a name he is unfamilliar with. He asks ANAKIN if he knows who ARTOO is talking about... (tf.n)

Tatooine, Lars farmstead

ANAKIN receives the general distress call from OBI-WAN, a rough hologram projected by ARTOO. ANAKIN, PADMÉ and THREEPIO are watching with interest.

OBI-WAN
....... Anakin ....... transmit ..... to Coruscant ........ (speculation) ... Alliance have pledged their armies to Count Dooku and are forming an ..... Wait ! ... ah ... attack... I don't ... make it ... aaaggghhh! (tf.n)

The hologram cuts off. ANAKIN jumps up.

ANAKIN
I'm going after him!

PADMÉ
I thought the first thing he said was to retransmit his message to Coruscant ? (tf.n)

[ AMIDALA wants to go to Geonosis, but ANAKIN is undecided. (aldera.net) ]

OWEN tells ANAKIN to stay on Tatooine and not to get involved in OBI-WAN's damned fool idealistic crusade... (speculation). However, AMIDALA convinces ANAKIN that they have to go on to Geonosis. OWEN presents C-3PO to ANAKIN because he realises they share a past, and he feels bad about what has happened to Shmi. 3PO is all that there is left of ANAKIN's relationship with his mother.

The four now leave Tatooine, and OBI-WAN's message is relayed to Coruscant. (speculation)

Geonosis, landing site

AMIDALA and ANAKIN land on the planet Geonosis near the stalagmite tower that encompasses the arena. ANAKIN reports to the Jedi Council, and speaks with MACE WINDU directly, who orders him to remain where he is. ANAKIN wants to rescue OBI-WAN, but MACE assures him a Jedi taskforce with Republic troopers are on their way. (speculation) PADMÉ and ANAKIN get in an argument about what to do next. ANAKIN doesn't want to fight, wants to rely on MACE WINDU's wisdom, PADMÉ reminds him of their obligations to the Republic (aldera.net) .... and to her as her bodyguard : where she goes, he must follow. ANAKIN
He's like my father, but you heard Master Windu. He gave me strict orders to stay here. (tf.n)

PADMÉ is determined to investigate.

ANAKIN
I'm not letting you go out there. It's too dangerous.

PADMÉ
What ?!

ANAKIN
It's my job to protect you. It's too dangerous. You're not going, and that's final !

PADMÉ
Don't you give me orders, Ani ! I'm a Senator of the Galactic Republic. You have no authority to contain me, restrain me, or direct me ! Remember your place, young man !
She stands up and prepares to leave the ship.
Now you can come along and protect me or stay here. It's up to you.

PADMÉ storms out of the cockpit of the Naboo Starship. ANAKIN stands scratching his head, then follows.

ARTOO beeps and whistles and C-3PO agrees.
Yes, it is most confusing. One moment they're generating a pleasant mutual attraction and the next, waves of violent hostility. Even though I'm programmed to understand them, I doubt if I ever shall.

C-3PO
Danger ? Oh, no I shouldn't think so. It looks like a very dull planet to me. They should be back shortly. Just stop worrying, Artoo. (tf.n)

Geonosis, battledroid factory

ANAKIN and PADMÉ set out from their transport and enter the stalagmite city. They look around the corridors curiously wondering about the emptiness they're encountering.

PADMÉ
It's empty.

They press on, but above trouble is brewing. Atop the great pillars, the formations appear to swell and pulse. Then some of the winged Geonosians sort of "grow" from the pillars and detach themselves...

They find themselves in a battledroid assembly factory, which houses a great conveyor belt and many walkways. Winged Geonosian guards converge on them, and in the fighting they are separated (speculation).

ANAKIN jumps onto the conveyor belt towards PADMÉ, but it is running the opposite way, taking him away from his love. There are Geonosians all over the place, and two more of the winged creatures land in front of him, blocking his way to PADMÉ. ANAKIN hides behind several droids as the Geonosians begin to search for him. The padawan knocks over several droid parts, the noise alerting the Geonosians to ANAKIN, and they run towards him. A moment later he is almost overwhelmed by a dozen and two more guards drop in just behind him. He doesn't see them until it is too late, and runs away with them in hot pursuit, leaving PADMÉ behind (tf.n).

ANAKIN runs along a conveyor belt a bit later and looks below at the moving platform below. PADMÉ is being grabbed by winged Genonosians. ANAKIN intentionally falls through a gap and lands on the belt below and Force-throws the creatures into a deep chasm. He kisses PADMÉ. (tf.n, speculation)

They approach the 'Central Square' and get to the center but as they do, a group of Geonosians intercept them. ANAKIN instantly reaches for his lightsaber but PADMÉ tells him to, "Wait!" A large group of armed Geonosians appear in front of them.

The group parts and the elegant Count DOOKU walks through. He bows to them in greeting and speaks to AMIDALA.

COUNT DOOKU
Senator Amidala, I've heard so much about you.

AMIDALA
Count Dooku, I assume.

DOOKU
I'm delighted to finally meet you. We have a great deal to talk about ... I hope you can keep your young Jedi under control.

AMIDALA
Don't worry, he's housebroken.

He leads them to a Conference Room. (T'Bone)

JANGO FETT is also present and takes ANAKIN'S lightsabre. Then the guards take the Jedi and PADMÉ under guard. (aldera.net, episode-x.com)

Geonosis, Conference Room

COUNT DOOKU invites Senator AMIDALA to hear his supporters' arguments. ANAKIN accompanies her.

The conference room is inside a cavern, the architecture of the room combines the worn and battered cave with ornate details and carvings in the cave walls. There is a large round table, which has small oval computer screens and keypads, and in its middle is a holo-projector. The chairs are silver and cone shaped.

The Separatist Leaders are sat here : Tikkes, Passel Argente, Toonbuck Toora, Nute Gunray, Po Nudo, Shu Mai, Wat Tambor, San Hill, and Sun Rit. (ep-x, tf.n)

The Corporate Alliance is represented by Passel Argente and his aide Twink Kee. It's main aim is to bring Coruscant's businesses money through war profiteering. The Trade Federation, led by Viceroy Nute Gunray, is seeking revenge for the upset Queen AMIDALA caused in the Invasion of Naboo. He is quite happy for the Mining Guild to cause trouble on the Bogden Moons. He has enlisted the help of the Archduke of Geonosis, Poggle the Lessor of the Techno Union, to construct a superior Battle Droid in his next battle. The money will come from the Inter Galactic Bank Clan.
The Inter Galactic Bank Clan, represented by San Hill, is helping to fund the mass production of Battle Droids on the Techno Union controlled planet of Geonosis. It's funds are also helping to produce a more battle-hardy droid: the Super Battle Droid.
Through the Techno Union, Master SIDO-DYAS has enlisted the help of Kamino to produce clones under the false illusion it is for the Republic. This construction is being funded by money from the Inter Galactic Bank Clan.
The Commerce Guild is a political Commerce movement in the Galactic Senate and is represented at the table by Shu Mai. Shu Mai is working with Senator Toonbuck Toora and Senator Tikkes to help bring them wealth beyond their means when the Confederacy is established.
Joining these factions are a group of Opposition Senators including Senator Po Nudo of Ando, Senator Wat Tambor, Senator Toonbuck Toora and Senator Tikkes. These Senator's votes in the Galactic Senate will help break the Republic apart. (tf.n)

DOOKU and AMIDALA join them, but she refuses to accept their demands. DOOKU retaliates with an order for her execution.

Count DOOKU sits at a large conference table with AMIDALA on the far side, ANAKIN standing behind her. JANGO FETT stands behind COUNT DOOKU. Ten Geonosian guards are spread watchfully around the room.

SENATOR AMIDALA gets straight down to business.
You are holding a Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi. I am formally requesting you turn him over to me, now.

COUNT DOOKU
He has been convicted of espionage, and will be executed. In just a few hours, I believe.

AMIDALA
Obi-Wan is an officer of the Republic. You can’t do that.

DOOKU
We don’t recognize the Republic here. But if Naboo were to join our Alliance, I could easily hear your plea for clemency ....

ANAKIN has had enough and grabs his lightsabre but doesn’t ignite it. PADMÉ intervenes.
And if I don’t join your rebellion, I assume this Jedi with me will also die?

DOOKU
I don’t wish to make you to join our cause against your will, Senator, but you are a rational, honest representative of your people and I assume you want to do what’s in their best interest. Are you not fed up with the corruption, the bureaucrats, the hypocrisy of it all ? Be honest, Senator.

AMIDALA
The ideals are still alive, Count, even if the institution is failing.

DOOKU
You believe in the same ideals we believe in ! The same ideals we are striving to make prominent.

AMIDALA
If what you say is true, you should stay in the Republic and help Chancellor Palpatine put things right.

DOOKU
The Chancellor means well, but is incompetent. He promised to to cut the bureaucracy, but the bureaucrats are stronger than ever. Senator, the Republic cannot be fixed. It’s time to start over, the democratic process in the Republic is a sham, a shell game played on the voters. It will not be long before the cult of greed, called the Republic, will lose even the pretext of democracy and freedom.

AMIDALA
I cannot believe that. I will not forsake all I have honored and worked for and betray the Republic. I know of your treaties with the Trade Federation, the Commerce Guilds, and others. What is happening here is not government that has been bought out by business … it’s business becoming government !! (ep-x.com)

ANAKIN raises his lightsabre, but COUNT DOOKU is quicker : he Force-throws it out of the window, and ANAKIN dives out after it. PADMÉ stands at the ledge shocked, but ANAKIN lands safely ; however, he is soon surrounded by battledroids.

The two of them are taken to cells, but are held separately from OBI-WAN. (Chyren, sw.com Selects, speculation)

Inside the great rotunda of the Galactic Senate, the uproar of the senate is deafening. Opposing Senators yell furiously at one another. Mas Amedda cires for Order over the noise. The squablling slowly dies down.

PALPATINE
In the regrettable absence of Senator Amidala, the chair recognizes the Senior Representative of Naboo, Jar Jar Binks.

Amid a conflicting storm of cheers and boos, Jar Jar, with two Gungan aides, floats his pod to the middle of the vast space. He looks at Palpatine nervously. Palpatine nods.

JAR JAR clears his throat.
Senators, dellow felogates...
Laughter and jeers fill the Senate. Jar Jar blushes.

MAS AMEDDA
Order ! The Senate will accord the Representative the courtesy of a hearing.

The rotunda goes comparatively quiet.

JAR JAR
In response to the direct threat to the Republic from the Confederacy of Independent Systems, I propose that the Senate give immediate emergency powers to the Supreme Chancellor. Uproar again fills the senate. Who can deny these are exceptional times ?! Exceptional times demand exceptional measures ! Exceptional measures demand exceptional men !

JAR JAR
That is a sentiment every one of us agrees with ! And when the shadow of war has dispersed and the bright day of liberty has dawned again, the power we now give to the Supreme Chancellor will be gladly, and swiftly returned. Our ancient liberties will be restored to us, burnished even more brightly than before ! There is a rolling wave of applause. Jar Jar beams and bows.

PALPATINE rises.
It is with great reluctance that I have agreed to this calling. I love democracy… I love the Republic. The fact that this crisis is demanding I be given absolute power to rule over you is evident. But I am mild by nature and have no desire to destroy the democratic process. The power you give me I will lay down when this crisis has abated, I promise you. And all I ask in return is when my current term of office is over, you allow me to retire and live out my life in peace.

MAS AMEDDA

High Audience Chamber, Geonosis

ANAKIN and PADMÉ are standing in the center of what resembles a courtroom – this is in fact the High Audience Chamber on Geonosis. Seated before them in a tall, boxed-off area is POGGLE THE LESSER, Archduke of the planet, accompanied by his underling, SUNRIT. Off to one side the Separatist Senators PO NUDO, TIKKES and TOONBUCK TOORA. Right next to them are the Commerce Dignitaries, SHU MAI, Neimoidian NUTE GUNRAY, PASSEL ARGENTE, WAT TAMBOR and SAN HILL of the Intergalactic Bank Clan. Along the wall approximately a hundred Geonosians are waiting for a verdict.

SUN RIT
Senator, Jedi, you have been charged and found guilty of espionage. (ep-x)
The sentence is execution. (speculation)

POGGLE THE LESSER
Do you have anything to say before your sentence is carried out ?

PADMÉ
You are committing an act of war ! I hope you are prepared for the consequences !

Poggle laughs. Count Dooku, who is also present, simply smiles.

POGGLE
Of course we’re prepared, senator Amidala ! We build weapons … it is our business !!

NUTE GUNRAY
Get on with it ! Carry out the sentence. I want to see her suffer.

POGGLE
Senator, your other Jedi friend is already waiting for you. Take them to the arena !

Geonosis, Arena

On Geonosis, a gladiatorial Execution Arena is built into the ground : a giant pit, and it's not really circular all the way around. The arena looks like it's built into the landscape here, flowing with the rock, around giant columns. Gladiators are decked out in full helmet, shield, and armor (The Force.net). The Arena has a double wall in places, with openings in it, to allow for safe passage about the sandy execution area. (speculation)

Picture soldiers coming up out of the tunnel into the main arena with thousands of aliens (which look a lot like the battledroids). Picture futuristic space-age gladiators with shields on one arm and a sword in the other ; one riding a creature and carrying a spear all to the enjoyment of the raging crowd. The shiny armor of the combatants glistens in the sun of the rocky planet in an arena equal or superior to the size of the Colisseum. (tf.n / T'Bone)

Overlooking a grand arena in a VIP style "box" sits COUNT DOOKU and Archduke Poggle the Lesser. To his left sits a Nemoidian (Nute Gunray ?). JANGO FETT stands behind Poggle. (prequel-spoilers.com)

The Geonosians are made up of sub-castes, much like an ant colony : the Flyer, which has wings and can fly ; the Picador rides a horse-like creature, called an Orray, and carries a long spear. Also there are Workers who manufacture in the battledroid factories ; the warriors are known simply as Guards. (tf.n)

DOOKU, JANGO, POGGLE, and the Neimodian, flanked by Lesser guards, are awaiting the arrival of the two prisoners to the execution arena, where they will be fed to the Reek, and other gladiatorial creatures. OBI-WAN is already present, and manacled to one of three poles in the middle of the arena floor.

ANAKIN and PADMÉ are tossed into an open cart in a gloomy tunnel leading to the execution arena. The murmur of a vast crowd is heard in the background. Guards extend their arms along the framework and tie them so that they stand facing each other. The driver gets up onto his seat

ANAKIN
Don’t be afraid, Padmé.

PADMÉ
I am not afraid to die. Besides, I’ve been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life.

ANAKIN
What are you talking about ?!

PADMÉ
I love you.

ANAKIN
You love me ?! I thought we decided not to fall in love. That we’d be forced to live a lie. That it would destroy our lives…

PADMÉ
I think our lives are about to be destroyed, anyway. My love for you is a puzzle, Ani, for which I have no answers. I can’t control it … and now I don’t care. I truly, deeply love you, and before we die I want you to know.

PADMÉ leans toward ANAKIN. By straining hard, it is just possible for their lips to meet. They kiss.

ANAKIN
I have no desire to be cured of this love either. Long or short, I vow to spend the rest of my life with you. (episode-x, 'Forbidden Love' trailer)

They bring out the two prisoners carried on 'execution carts' and prepare to tie them up to poles. (aldera.net)

They manacle PADMÉ'S wrists together, and attach the link to a chain above her head. PADMÉ is drawn up to the top of the pole. ANAKIN is manacled to a long chain that stretches off and into a closed gate ..... OBI-WAN asks how ANAKIN ended up here in the Arena, concerned that his Padawan hadn't relayed his message. ANAKIN
I retransmitted it, just as you requested, Master ... then we decided to come and rescue you.

OBI-WAN looks up at his bound wrists, then out at the packed Arena. He replies sarcastically.
Good job. ('Mystery' trailer, tf.n)

The gate opens and reveals the fearsome Reek (four legged, tri-horned beast with a bull-like nose ring), and a clawed Acklay, which approach ANAKIN and the others. The Acklay swats at OBI-WAN, who uses the pole as a shield allowing him to dodge the claws ; however, it rears up and claws at PADMÉ a few times, ripping the back of her tunic, and smashing the chain that holds her to the pole. ANAKIN pulls on his chain, drawing the Reek to him. This creature charges the Jedi, who flips up on to the neck of the great beast. From this vantage, ANI tries to steer the Reek away from PADMÉ and OBI-WAN, but fails. The creature is now going berserk with ANAKIN riding it, and turns back towards the poles. (speculation)

DOOKU and POGGLE talk and watch the arena. Unnoticed by them, there is a flash far behind them and one of the Geonosian guards drops to the ground. A hand taps DOOKU's shoulder. MACE WINDU reveals himself with one hand and with the other keeps JANGO at bay with his purple lightsabre. The Jedi Master orders the release of the prisoners. (tf.n, aldera.net, speculation)

As the creature nears the poles, ANAKIN calls to PADMÉ to jump down onto his shoulders, since his hands are still manacled together. She lands on his back, and OBI-WAN leaps up to join them just as ........... (speculation, sw.com Select)

View of the Stadium as hundreds of Jedi enter from all passageways, all ready for confrontation with their lightsabres ignited. One cunning warrior, Alta Ranga, is a combination of mottled greens and browns and blacks. A grey, white, and red female Jedi Knight beside him has horns and tentacles. (tf.n)

DOOKU reveals the droid army awaiting the jedi. MACE reacts as the droids (battledroids, destroyer droids and superdroids (which look like a cross between battledroid and stormtrooper, and are very big) emerge from the dark passageway behind him. High angle of the VIP box and droids are coming from all entrances. MACE is surrounded. JANGO backs out of firing range. The droids open fire.

MACE deflects the first bolts as DOOKU and the other dignitaries move to safer ground. The Droids continue to fire as MACE deflects the bolts right back at them. Full shot of MACE as he spins and deflects shots from all sides. A number of droids are smashed back by their own bolts. MACE continues to defend. JANGO brings up his flamethrower and fires at MACE. Geonosians are flying away in the background. MACE leaps high as flame scorches the place he was. His cloak is on fire. The Nemoidian is hit by the flame. JANGO blasts at MACE in the air. MACE deflects all the bolts as he rolls in mid air and down into the arena. His cloak is still on fire.

MACE lands in the arena. Pan to JANGO looking for an escape. Pan to DOOKU leaving the area. MACE throws off the smouldering cloak and looks around the arena. Wide angle as Jedi fight for their lives against the superior number of droids. Two Jedi leap from another VIP box just as its blasted by droids. More shots of Jedi defending themselves from attacks from all sides. A jedi destoys a superdroid but is gunned down by a destroyer droid.

As the Reek lumbers along, ANAKIN loses his seating, and slips off the creature, only to be dragged through the dust behind it. Using the Force, the padawan manages to flip himself back up to join with the other two. From the back of the Reek, ANAKIN and OBI-WAN Force-grab lightsabres from nearby dead Jedi bodies. ANAKIN quickly cuts his wrists free of the manacles, and the three of them slip from the back of the creature to the dusty floor of the Arena. The Reek, enraged, doesn't notice them, and charges on. About 15 Jedi quickly form a loose protective circle about ANAKIN, Obi Wan and PADMÉ on the arena floor. The defending Jedi are going crazy with their lightsabres. One in particular twirls two sabres with such amazing speed. In this way, ANAKIN and OBI-WAN make their way out of the Arena. (t'bone)

MACE looks back at the VIP box he was in. Droids in the VIP box shoot at MACE who defends. JANGO takes off in the distance. As MACE defends from the stands, JANGO lands behind him in the arena. JANGO aims his cable at MACE from behind him as MACE still defends. JANGO fires the cable. MACE turns just in time to force push the cable... around a nearby destroyer droid. MACE turns away from JANGO to take care of some droids in the arena. The entangled Destroyer turns and fires upon the source of the cable... taking JANGO by surprise as shots whip around him. JANGO detaches the cable and flies past the destroyer.

JANGO's flight path leads him directly behind MACE who is still battling droids. As JANGO passes, MACE swings his lightsabre over his head and hits JANGO's jetpack. JANGO goes into an uncontrolled dive and the destroyer droid tracking JANGO ends up firing at MACE who deflects all the bolts. JANGO crashes to the ground and rolls to his feet. The destroyer blasts at MACE. JANGO jettisons the damaged jetpack while MACE continues with the destoyer. JANGO fires at MACE with both blasters. MACE spins to deflect the new attack. With a destroyer droid on one side and JANGO FETT on the other, MACE defends from both foe at the same time. MACE leaps into the air leaving the destroyer and JANGO firing at each other. JANGO leaps into a sideways roll and keeps firing at the destroyer. The destroyer explodes under JANGO's attack.

MACE lands and a battledroid fires at him. He deflects the bolt without even looking and charges towards JANGO. JANGO notices something as MACE charges. JANGO's POV of MACE charging with battles raging in the background. The Reek appears from a passageway and charges through a number of droids after MACE. Shot tracking the Reek towards MACE. JANGO looks stunned in the distance. MACE turns and spots the Reek as JANGO scrambles to his feet. MACE's POV of The Reek charging directly at him. MACE swipes at the Reek chopping off one of it's horns. The Reeks still catches MACE with its shoulder sending MACE sprawling. MACE loses his lightsabre. MACE hits the ground and rolls up onto his side. MACE's ground POV of his lightsabe and JANGO running toward it. Just before JANGO reches the lightsabre, one of The Reek's feet slams down on it.

JANGO spots his discarded jetpack lying on the ground a short distance beyond MACE. Close up on the jetpack.JANGO shifts aim and fires at the Jetpack. MACE reacts throwing himself backwards and away. The jetpack explodes as MACE dives clear. MACE hits the ground in a roll and ends near a wall. Startled by the explosion, The Reek rears up on it's hind legs, freeing the lightsabre. JANGO is ready to pounce.

JANGO dives at the lightsabre but... It floats offscreen just as JANGO reaches it. The lightsabre returns to MACE's hand. JANGO looks up at the Reek as it's shadow falls over him. JANGO rolls out of the way of the Reeks front legs as they crash back down on the ground. The Reeks charges at MACE trampling JANGO. JANGO avoids being crushed by the beast's huge feet. Tracking the Reek as it charges at MACE. MACE leaps into the air as the Reek reaches him, causing the Reek to smash into the wall of the arena.

MACE flips into the stands in the midst of a group of droids. MACE lands and attacks. JANGO recovers and retrieves his blaster. The Reek shakes it's head, looks around and spots JANGO. The Reek lumbers around and trotts towards JANGO. JANGO raises his blaster and aims carefully. The Reek begins to fully charge. JANGO pauses. JANGO's POV as Reek charges closer. In the last moment, JANGO fires into the beast's eys and dives out of the way still ready with blasters if need be. The Reek tumbles and crashes to the ground, dead.

JANGO stands and whips around looking for MACE with both blasters raised. MACE leaps down from the stands and charges forward. JANGO opens fire desperately but MACE deflects all the bolts as he runs. MACE takes out both blasters with blinding speed. MACE lunges with his lightsabre at JANGO's head and JANGO ducks but is left off balance. JANGO manages one blast from his arm mounted blaster but it misses. MACE spins and slices across and downward. JANGO's helmet bounces and rolls in the dust. JANGO's body falls to the dirt (safely assumed dead), leaving MACE the victor. (prequel-spoilers.com)

As the Jedi are ambushed in the arena, several Jedi display extraordinary Jedi fighting abilities. Luminari Unduli and Barris Offee can wield their lightsabers at uncalculated angles that confuses the Geonosians and Battle Droids due to their special double-jointed bodies. Other Jedi twirl two lightsabers against the deadly Super Battle Droids. Shaak Ti is powerful in large group situations and is able to destroy vast amounts of Battle Droids in a small amount of time while Bultar Swan uses telepathy to synchronise her moves with other Jedi in perfect mirroring ability.

As the arena falls silent and the last of the Jedi lay dying, MACE WINDU, skilled user of the lightsaber Form 7, speaks to COUNT DOOKU.
I will not be a hostage that you can barter with.

DOOKU
Then I'm sorry, old friend. You will have to be destroyed.

The small band of Jedi are surrounded by a legion of Battledroids, Droidekas, and SuperBattledroids.

Suddenly, PADMÉ yells out, “Look!” , and points at the sky. Above the arena, LAAT/i’s [Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry] fast descend and begin to disgorge clonetroopers who return fire. Before long there is a hell-storm of laser fire as Clones fire upon the droids and blaster shots bounce off the shields. YODA appears in the doorway of one of the ships and urges the surviving band of Jedi onboard. The Gunships take off and unleash more firepower on the droids before flying over the rim of the arena (ep-x.com). YODA retrieved the clones from Kamino and brought then to the battle on Geonosis. PADMÉ then joins them in the fight, leading a squadron of clonetroopers. Kit Fisto is a Jedi General and also leads an attack. (aldera.net)

Outside on the flat terrain below, a line of parked Trade Federation and Commerce Guild Battle Ships and legions of Battle Droids begin to appear. However, thousands of Military Republic Cruisers begin to land on the surrounding countryside spewing out thousands of LAAT/i’s, LAAT/C’s [Low Altitude Assault Transport/cargo], and AT-TE’s [ All-Terrain Tactical Enforcer] as well as hundreds of thousands of clonetroopers. The Clonetroopers open fire with artillary. Explosions caused by the LAAT/is wreck the parked Battleships. The LAAT/i’s open the rear of their ships and release hundreds of Military Swoops and the AT-TE carries LAAT/c’s laden with troopers into the midst of the battle grounds. The Clone Trooper’s armor is heat resistance and allows troopers to stride through the searing interfaces of shields as well as deflecting glancing blaster shots and damping direct hits enough to improve survival. Troops also share tactical video from their helmet visors, with multispectral imaging that penetrates smoke, fog and the airborne soil of the most explosive battlezones.

Clonetroopers advance, firing at the massed droids. The clones are expensive items and there are IM-6 battle droids ready to rescue any clone that is damaged. Each of the LAAT’s carry a medical station in the front part of the ship to repair and battle damaged clones. Repulsor lift stretchers and decontamination tents are vital to the IM-6.

From the sky suddenly comes Trade Federation Starfighters ! They fly overhead, exchanging fire with the LAAT’s. However, due to the low altitude of the LAAT, they cannot take on the Droid Starfighters. Instead a legion of Jedi Starfighters emerge and open fire on the Droid Starfighters. (ep-x.com)

Geonosis, outside the Arena

While Jango and Mace Windu were fighting, Obi-Wan andAnakin have managed to escape from the Arena. The two Jedi both engage in the attack and deflect droid blaster fire with two lightsabers, one in each hand. They fight their way indoors and out of sight from the arena.

The gunships land and the clones storm out. YODA appears from within one of the gunships and motions for the Jedi to get onboard. OBI-WAN, ANAKIN and PADMÉ get in one of the gunships on their own. The gunships take off but as they're escaping, ANAKIN and OBI-WAN spot COUNT DOOKU making his getaway from the arena on his speeder. They pursue him. However, the gunship is hit by a blast and PADMÉ is knocked out of the bay doors. She hits the ground hard. ANAKIN orders the pilot to put the ship down immediately.

OBI-WAN
Forget her ! We have to go after Count Dooku !

ANAKIN
No ! Pilot, land the ship !

OBI-WAN
Anakin, do not to let your personal feelings get in the way ! We have a job to do !

PADMÉ, now protectively encircled by several clone troopers, motions for them to go after DOOKU, and the argument between the two ceases. The Jedi see DOOKU'S speeder at the base of one of the towers, instruct the pilot to land and they go after him on foot. (episode-x)

Geonosis, subterranean base

R2-D2 and C-3PO are walking on Geonosis when they get to a door. The door slowly opens to an amazing sight : they see literally thousands of battledroids being assembled on massive production lines in a cavernous droid factory. As far as the eye can see there are battledroids on the floor below. (tf.n) The droids turn around in wonder at the sight, chattering away to each other.

They head off in different directions, still chatting. Suddenly, Threepio is confronted by battledroids, and the golden droid manages to obtain one of the blasters. Artoo spots all this, and scoots over, just as there is an exchange of laserfire.

C-3PO falls into the battle droid-making machine and emerges with a battle droid head attached to his shoulders while C-3PO's head gets attached to a battle droid body ! ARTOO quickly uses his appendages to replace THREEPIO'S head, and repair any damage. (tf.n, speculation)

Geonosis, the hangar

DOOKU has retreated to his hangar bay. There is a ship that looks like a cockroach, it looks like a teardrop from the top-view. (The Force.net). It is COUNT DOOKU's 'Solar Sailor', and according to another report, it looks like this: "It is a tear drop shape, a very organic-looking ship. It moves with the point facing the rear, with the rounded-shape as the cockpit and a large window facing forward. It's a large ship, probably to scale about the size of the Falcon, but much more sleek and streamlined. Other spies have described it as a beetle, and I would assume this was part of the inspiration for the new design and agree that it does look in part like that shape." (TheForce.net)

ANAKIN and OBI-WAN are fighting droids inside the building near the arena. They are separated because of battle droids. COUNT DOOKU enters. He goes after ANAKIN first. OBI-WAN sees this and fights furiously against the droids so he can get to ANAKIN - he doesn't want to leave his companion alone with a Sith Lord after he lost QUI-GON that way in Episode I. DOOKU and ANAKIN fight right through the hangar and apparently through DOOKU's ship. ANAKIN experiences that the Sith Lord is much stronger than he. Darth TYRANUS unleashes Sith lightning upon ANAKIN, throwing him against the cave wall. (Mystery trailer). ANAKIN is momentarily stunned. DOOKU makes his way to OBI-WAN. DOOKU and OBI-WAN do battle, and the COUNT likewise taunts the Jedi Knight. (aldera.net)

Finally ANAKIN returns to the battle and it's now a 2 on 1 situation.
DOOKU knocks OBI-WAN backwards during the fight and the Jedi loses his sabre. ANAKIN sees it and force grabs it then uses both swords. Once OBI-WAN gets back up, ANAKIN tosses him his sabre and the battle continues. But DOOKU is the greatest swordsman ever, and basically puts them to shame. ( Jedi Temple )

Geonosis, space, Control Ship

As the battle on the ground rages on, the battle in the sky above Geonosis is underway as well. The battle in the sky revolves around KI-ADI-MUNDI leading six Jedi in an assault on one of the two droid control ships: they stealthily enter and make their way to the bridge.

KI-ADI-MUNDI reaches the control panel and punches the master switch. (Call sheets on loresdelsith.unicyber.org). There are four Nemoidian pilots in the control center. When Ki-Adi throws the switch in attempt to deactivate the droids on the ground, nothing happens. It appears the Nemoidians have learned that lesson after the Battle of Naboo. PLO KOON is injured badly by destroyer droids and almost dies. (aldera.net)

Geonosis, outside the Arena

BOBA FETT has dragged the body of JANGO back to Slave 1, but the ship is in fact being guarded by two Jedi Padawans. BOBA kills them using one of the dart shooters from JANGO'S suit. With hatred for the Jedi Order afire, he cuts the padawans' hair braids as trophies. He drags his father's body into the ship and Slave 1 blasts off. (aldera, speculation)

Geonosis, Hangar

Count DOOKU force-throws things at the Jedi and they are both getting injured. Distracted by the objects being thrown at him, ANAKIN is unable to parry a lightsabre blow from the Count, that cuts right though his sword arm ! ANAKIN collapses to the ground. (Aldera, C, specualtion)

DOOKU then chops a large mechanical loading device (like a claw) and it falls on ANAKIN and OBI-WAN. DOOKU sees YODA enter the fight and turns to face the Jedi Master .... (Aldera)

According to Aldera.net, the script describes very briefly a lightsabre battle between YODA and DOOKU. YODA rolls around on the ground extremely quickly, and is much faster and stronger than DOOKU. He allows the COUNT to wear himself out.

[ Theforce.net have a report that describes YODA vaulting onto DOOKU's shoulders, and attempting to decapitate the COUNT. ]

The battle ends as YODA Force-pushes DOOKU off a ledge and the badly beaten Sith Lord runs to his ship. (starwars-union.de).

The collapsed crane is pinning OBI-WAN and an unconscious ANAKIN to the ground. YODA closes his eyes and concentrates. ANAKIN is unconcious, and OBI-WAN tries to get out from under the crane. The fallen crane trembles and starts to lift. Behind it, the sound of the Sail Ships's engines are heard starting up. YODA concentrates harder. Slowly, the crane rises. The sound of the engines increases. YODA exerts every scrap of his powers. The crane lifts clear of ANAKIN and is thrown to the ground. DOOKU'S Sail Ship takes off. OBI-WAN and ANAKIN struggle to the exhausted YODA, but it's too late. The Sail Ship rises into the air and flies away, activating a Cloaking Shadow (Speculation). PADMÉ and a CLONE CAPTAIN with about ten troopers appear in the doorway. However, YODA is left completely exhausted. (episode-x.com)

Jedi Council Chamber

The atmosphere in the Jedi Council in their last scene is quite depressing and it is mentioned that the Jedi are left with a lot of casualties including members of the Jedi Council. MACE WINDU, YODA and OBI-WAN have a conversation about it. It seems that the only council members to make it to Episode III are YODA, MACE WINDU, PLO KOON, and KI-ADI-MUNDI.
